Level 3 Playwork
The Playwork Level 3 Apprenticeship is ideal for those who are working or wishing to work in a senior role with children and young people between 4-16 years of age in a variety of play environments.

If you decide that this apprenticeship is the route for you then it will last for around 12 months. We will meet the needs of both yourself and the employer to deliver on the job training at your setting. On completion of the course you will receive the industry recognised Level 3 Diploma in Playwork qualification from NCFE CACHE.
This apprenticeship framework is split into two main components: the first, where one of our tutors will come out to your workplace and observe and assess the skills you have gained whilst working and help you work through the Level 3 mandatory qualification using our ePorfolio system and the second component is the Maths, English and ICT support, if they are required and depending upon your situation you may not need to do this part.
Due to the funding eligibility rules, from the Skills Funding Agency, it is best to speak with one of our advisers, but as a quick guide, based on age:
16-18 – This apprenticeship framework is usually 100% funded for learners in this age group.
19+ – This apprenticeship framework is 90% funded by the ESFA with a 10% contribution required from the employer, spread over the duration of the apprenticeship.
This L3 apprenticeship doesn’t have entry requirements, although we recommend for this Level 3 qualification that you have relevant experience of working in play environments will be required as learners must show competence in both knowledge and skills.

All of our qualifications have excellent progression opportunities, once this apprenticeship has been completed, progression onto a the L5 Children, Young People and Families Manager apprenticeship is a possibility or further development around special educational needs with the Level 3 SEN Award – our tutors and assessors will help you every step of the way.
