Childcare

Childcare

Description

Within childcare we offer a range of courses and qualifications from Levels 2 – 5, including: Early Years Practitioners (EYP), Early Years Educators (EYE), Early Years Advanced Practitioners (EYAP),and Leadership and Management in Childcare, both Apprenticeships and stand-alone qualifications. Our qualified and experienced tutors and assessors will guide you every step of the way, giving you the skills to excel and progress

Key Features

  • Gain an accredited qualification awarded by NCFE

  • Earn while you’re learning

  • Full support from our tutors and assessors

What’s involved

If you decide that an apprenticeship is the route for you, then it can last from 12-24 months, depending on the level of your apprenticeship. We will meet the needs of both yourself and the employer to deliver on and off the job training. On completion of the course you will receive an industry recognised qualification from NCFE.

The apprenticeship is generally split into three main components: the first, where one of our tutors will come out to your workplace and observe and assess the skills you have gained whilst working; the second part contains all the theory behind why you do the things you do in the workplace and finally the Maths & English, if they are required and depending upon your situation you may not need to do this part.

Funding

Due to the funding eligibility rules, from the Education and Skills Funding Agency, it is best to speak with one of our advisers, but as a quick guide, based on age:

16-18 – We can usually offer Apprenticeships fully funded for these qualifications.

19+ – Depending on your situation and prior qualifications we have a wide range of funding options including 95% funded, to advanced learner loans that you only pay back when you earn over £26,575 a year (further details)

Entry requirements

None of these qualifications have entry requirements, although we recommend for the Level 4 qualifications that you have relevant experience.

However, we would recommend getting in touch with us and one of our helpful recruitment team can discuss the qualifications with you and find one that fits your requirements.

Progression

All of our qualifications have excellent progression opportunities, whether you are completing your Level 2 and looking to progress onto the higher levels or you’re finishing your Level 4 and looking to progress onto a University degree course – our tutors and assessors will help you every step of the way.
